Empty Nesters (Reyim)

Reyim is Temple Shir Tikva’s adult programming initiative developed to engage temple members, especially empty nesters. In Hebrew, Reyim means “Friends” and our participants are both old and new friends. Some of us are founding members and others may be new to the Temple Shir Tikva community. Programs are especially designed to appeal to a wide range of interests. We aim to explore Jewish themes through programming which has a social and educational component. Reyim plans three to four interesting Jewish events a year which vary in subject matter but always include sharing a meal.  Past programs have included viewing films from the Boston Jewish Film Festival followed by discussion, a talk on Jewish Genealogy, Shabbat services followed by a Shabbat dinner and holiday celebrations. Reyim provides a wonderful opportunity to attend an interesting program along with convivial dining in the warm company of temple members.

For more infomation regarding Reyim, contact the temple office. We hope to see you at our next gathering!
